Full Professor, Panteion University

PhD in Sociology Decartes University (Sorbonne) 1990, Professor of Sociology, Department of Sociology Panteion University of Social & Political Sciences since 2007. RC14 President (2006-up to now), member of the Board of RC13 (2010-2014).AISLF member of the executive board 1996-2004 & 2008-2016, responsible of RC of Identity and Politics and Political Sociology; 2004-2005 VP of the Hellenic Sociological Association (2004). Member of the scientific committee of reviews (“Sociétés”, Paris, “Socio-Anthropologie”, Paris, “Sociologies” –on line review, “French Journal for Media Research” –on line review, OJSS on-line review etc.). Article reviewer; Knight of the Order of Academic Palms (French Ministry of National Education 2012). Author of many scientific articles and monographic works (mostly in Greek, French and English but also translated in Portuguese & Bulgarian) focusing essentially on the communicational structures of contemporary societies.

Gazi Angeliki

Assistant Professor, Panteion University

Αngeliki Gazi is an Assistant Professor in Research Methods at the Department of Communication, Media and Culture, Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, Athens.Her research interests concerns the fields of Identity, Emotions, Relationships in Radio, Television, Internet - Interpersonal, Intergroup Communication, Identity and Emotions via Μediated Experience Applications, Social Media, Mobile Phones, Locative Media - Personal Relationships in Technopsychological Systems and Hybrid Environments. She is a founding member and Chair of the Division: Media Psychology and Technology, of Hellenic Psychological Association, founding member and former member of the Scientific Board of Social Computing Research Center, Cyprus University of Technology, a member of Scientific Committee of Groupe de Recherches et d’ Etudes sur la Radio (GRER), a founding member and former Vice Chair of the Radio Research Section of European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA).

Larochelle Dimitra Laurence

PhD Candidate, New Sorbonne University / Research and Teaching Assistant, University of Burgundy - Franche-Comté


Dimitra Laurence Larochelle is a PhD Candidate on Sociology of Communication and Cultural Studies at the Communication Department of the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle - Paris 3 where she is also currently working as a Research and Teaching assistant (ATER). She has two master degrees on Sociology (University Paris Descartes) and on Communication (French Institute of Journalism, Panthéon-Assas University). She has worked as a teaching staff at the University of Burgundy – Franche-Comté, at Paris Descartes University, at Saint-Denis University and at the University Paris XII. She has published papers in French, in English and in Greek and she has worked as a researcher in France as well as in Cyprus. Since 2018 she is member of the board of the Research Committee 14 (Sociology of Communication, Knowledge and Culture) of the ISA (International Sociological Association).

Maratou - Alipranti Laura

Research Director of the National Centre for Social Research/EKKE


Laura Alipranti - Maratou has made studies in Greece and in France. She has a Ph.D in Sociology (University of Paris X -Nanterre). She is emeritus Research Director of the Greek National Centre for Social Research/EKKE and expert of “EKKE Gender Issues Research Laboratory”. Actually, she is Visiting Professor at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, at the Psychology Department teaching the lessons “Sociology I” and “Gender relations in contemporary society”. She has been Member of EIGE Expert Forum (European Institute of Gender Equality) designated by the European Parliament (2014-2016) and national representative for Greece in EC-DG Research COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) Committee ISCH, Individuals, Society, Culture (2005-2015).

She is author, co-author and editor of many books and scientific articles focused on family relations, male-female social roles, family policy, gender issues, social inequalities, female migration etc

Memberships:

- Vice President of the “ European Women Union-Greek section and Vice Chair of the “Education and Employment Commission”

- Member of the board of the NGO “Greek League of Women’s Rights” affiliated member of the “International Alliance for Women” (2012-2019).

- Member of the Board of the “Hellenic Sociological Society” (2018-2020).

Tsapatsari Evaggelia

Sociologist, Department of Social Politics and Promotion of Public Health in Municipality of N. Filadelfeia- N. Chalkidona

EvaggeliaTsapatsari has studied Sociology in Panteion University, Educational and Counselling in PATES/ASPAITE SELETE and has a MCs in Promotion of Mental Health and Prevention of Mental Disorders from the Medical School of University of Athens. She is currently working as a Sociologist in the Department of Social Politics and Promotion of Public Health in Municipality of N. Filadelfeia- N. Chalkidona. She is a member in the Scientific Council of the Greek Intermunicipal Healthy Cities Network since 2015. She has been trained and certified in the field of addiction, prevention and treatment, where she has worked for many years. Also, in Adult and group counseling and psychotherapy, with the Systemic and Synthetic approach, as well as in Parent Schools. She has many years of experience in human resources management-evaluation and management of individual and family problems. She has also been trained in the design of Prevention, Education and Health Promotion programs. She is an adult educator at the University of the Aegean and President of the Association of Greek Sociologists.

Zyga Eleni

PhD Candidate, Panteion University


Eleni Zyga is a PhD Candidate on Sociology of Media at the Sociology Department of the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, (Athens). She holds two master degrees on Social exclusion and Human rights (Panteion University, Athens) and on Health Informatics (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens). She has worked as a lab partner at the Department of Social Work of the Technological Educational Ιnstitute of Athens.
